The story goes that there was an assistant band director who taught the 7th Grade Owasso Band who died of either an illness or heart attack. It is said that if you enter the school's band chamber alone or at night you can faintly hear the last song he ever conducted there being played. Evidence of the band director in question is hard to find but the reporting of phantom music being heard in the room when no band is present is apparently commonplace enough to give this story some credibility.

Strange occurrences have happened. For a week after he passed, our TV turned off and on randomly. After that week, it never did it again. Friends of mine who slept over when we were kids claimed to have seen him. I moved around 2005-2006 so it's unknown what activity is still going on, if any.
