Local Man Wanted for Attempted Murder: On February 10, 2014 Sault Ste Marie police arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder in connection with a serious assault on a 36 year old man at 142 Albert Street East. The injuries to the man were considered life threatening.

Officers from Investigation Services are continuing to work on the serious incident that took place on the 8th of February.

Man Found Murdered in His Apartment: At approximately 4 pm, police found Todd Petrie (48) murdered in his apartment. Police suspect he knew his killer(s) and let him/them into his apartment. The crime remains unsolved.
