30-year-old Jacob Andrew Legrande was confronted by family at his house on the evening of September 3rd in an attempt to intervene with his mental health issues and drug addiction. Shots were reported soon after, with one elderly hostage being retrieved before SWAT Team members and crisis management services attempted to negotiate with Legrande. Unfortunately, these attempts were unsuccessful, with Jacob likely killing his family members before killing himself.
