Shooting death: According to authorities, police responded to call at 3536 Singleleaf Lane shortly before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located 20-year-old Kouren-Rodney Bernard Thomas suffering from a shotgun wound. Thomas was transported to WakeMed and died Police said the incident happened when a suspect who was inside his garage fired a shotgun from the inside the garage striking the victim, who was outside the garage. Police said the “incident involved a suspect who was inside his garage and obtained an arrest warrant charging Chad Cameron Copley, 39, with murder.
