1 killed, 1 injured in home invasion; nothing taken. According to police, at least two black men wearing masks and hoods forced their way into a side door. They forced the homeowner, Tonio J. Manson, and a guest, a 24-year-old male, into a kitchen area on the first floor. An altercation between Manson, his guest and the two suspects occurred before any demands were made. Both suspects fired their guns and then fled east on foot. Four shots were fired. Manson was struck in the chest and leg. He was rushed to Affinity Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m. by the Stark County Coroner’s Office. The other victim, a Canton man, was shot in the upper arm. He was released from the hospital Saturday and is expected to make a full recovery.
