On Sept. 30, 2005, 10-year-old Robin Doan made a chilling call to 911, telling the operator: "There was a shootout in my house. And I don't know who's dead. And I'm scared half to death." A gunman, later identified as Levi King, broke into Robin Doan's remote farmhouse in Pampa, Texas, in the middle of the night. He shot the father, Brian (31) and then the dog, Molly. Brian’s wife Michell (35), who was pregnant, started screaming and he shot her five times. In her bedroom, Robin woke up with the screams of her mother. She hid under the covers and was there when Levi came to her room. He shot her, but the bullet hit the pillow. Still, Robin grunted and fell to the floor, pretending she was dead. That saved her life. The killer moved on to the other room and shot and murdered her brother Zach (14). Levi King was arrested in the US border. 15 hours before this event, he also committed murders in Missouri. He was sentenced to life in prison.
