37-year-old Kristin Duncan was found dead inside the trash compactor of the Carbondale Towers apartment complex. A lawsuit filed on behalf of Duncan's family alleges that someone forced Duncan down the apartment's trash chute and she was still alive when she fell into the trash compactor. Two different residents of the Towers called police regarding someone yelling for help inside of the compactor. The lawsuit states that Duncan was crushed to death after someone turned on the compactor.
