Anson "Buzz" Clinton III, 28, was fatally shot and run over on a stretch of road just off I95 in East Lyme, CT. Three years after the murder police arrested Beth Carpenter, his sister-in-law, after discovering she had hired Mark Despres to kill Buzz. Carpenter was going to court on behalf of her mother to gain custody of Carpenter's sister Kim and Buzz's daughter. After losing the custody battle, Carpenter had her lover/employer Haiman Clein hire his cocaine dealer to kill Buzz. Before her arrest, Carpenter fled to Dublin, Ireland to try and escape East Lyme Police.
